Welcome to my wonderful web site’s Online Photo Gallery – featuring my wonderful ( to me anyway ) photos.
A long time ago I bought this domain mywonderfulwebsite.com to use as sort of a joke about web site design. But, I never got around to actually building a web site, just as I never got past basic HTML in my own site designs.
I think Cascading Style Sheets and tools like Joomla and Drupal and Ruby on Rails were created for/by print trained graphic designers who wanted to build web sites for themselves and/or clients. HTML was too limiting for them. Lots of great web sites have been created by talented designers using these tools.
WordPress was originally a blogging platform but along the way someone developed it into a web design platform as well. Since then it has become a very popular tool for less talented designers to build professional looking wonderful web sites using the templates made available by WordPress and other designers.
I’ve always enjoyed taking photographs, from the days of getting film developed to the present digital days.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel a bit and find great subjects and scenes to photograph.
For years I had no idea what to do with this domain. Recently, after adding it to my hosting account and installing WordPress, I decided to make it into a Gallery for my own photos. Thanks Word Press and the Photo Gallery plugin for helping me build it without having to learn how to write code.
